Inky's Italian Foods
The Incorvaia's have been serving up homemade cuisine in Toledo for over 60 years and their restaurant has remained in the family through three generations. It's one of the most beloved Italian restaurants in the area, and they owe much of that success to their traditions. From the sign outside, to the way they treat their customers like family, Inky's has remained true to their values from day one. It's no wonder Inky's loyal customers consider it their second home!
Home Slice Pizza
Owned and operated by the Knight family for over a decade, this downtown establishment serves high quality New York style pizza. They also keep their list of craft beers and imports current, so there's always something new to try at Home Slice.
The Village Idiot
The Village Idiot is the quintessential neighborhood bar. They’re open 365 days a year and offer live music, award winning pizza, and a wide selection of drinks.
Grumpy's
For over three decades, Grumpy's has been family run. Their brick and mortar restaurant reached such high levels of popularity that they added a food truck to the business, Grumpy's On The Go. Make sure to follow them so you know where to get your Grumpy's fix!
Michael's Bar and Grill
Located on Monroe Street downtown, Michael's has been a family business since the 1920's. The bar and grill maintains a family friendly atmosphere and boasts outstanding reviews.
The Stubborn Brother Pizza Bar
Stubborn Brother is owned by a husband and wife duo with a passion for fresh ingredients. During the early stages of their business, they sourced family-owned operations, a local organic flour mill, and many farms across Ohio to learn their generational knowledge. Their mission is to serve their customers with “old world style” pizza while creating community connections.
Dino’s Restaurant
Since 1997, Dino’s has been a staple in Maumee. Owner Dean Yakumithis and his wife, Yanna, are said to have the best chili mac in town, using a recipe from Dean’s grandfather. Dean is a third generation restaurant owner; his father and grandfather own Michael’s Bar and Grill.
Souk Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar
Chef Moussa Salloukh opened his first restaurant at 21 years old in 1992. He went on to run the very successful Italian restaurant La Scola with his partner, Gus Nicolaidis. But Salloukh’s newest endeavor is his most personal and hands-on yet. Souk serves traditional Mediterranean food with a twist, and their rotating menu is inspired by the surrounding farmers markets.
SIP Coffee
This Cricket West coffee shop has quickly risen the ranks and become one of the most frequented spots in Toledo. The name stands for “socially infused people.” It’s fitting because SIP is well-known for its events, such as the popular Sippy Cup Story Time on Saturday’s for kids. It’s an environmentally conscious coffee shop that offers reusable cups, lids, and straws, and all of their extra food and baked goods are donated to local shelters.

Byrne Paint
Byrne Paint has been a fixture in the community for over 60 years. For four generations, the independent paint retailer has been family owned. Their original store is located on Oliver Street between South Saint Clair and Broadway. Their second location, Color Concepts by Byrne, is located in St. James Plaza and operates as a Benjamin Moore retailer.
Christopher's New & Used Furniture + Glass City Furniture
Chris Simons opened his family business in 1995 after 21 years of working at his uncle's furniture shop. In 2007, Christopher's expanded and opened Glass City Furniture. With decades of experience, Christopher's and Glass City Furniture are hands down the place to go if you're looking for furniture and love to support local!
Appliance Center
Ask any Northwest Ohioan where they purchased their appliances, and there's a very good chance the answer will be the Appliance Center. Since opening in 1963, its become the largest furniture and appliance store in Ohio and currently has four locations. The Appliance Center has always been under the ownership of the Oswald family.

Mason's Billiards/Buckeye Wolverine Shop
Mason's is truly a one-of-a-kind store. It's owned by brothers Chris and Mark Mason, and as their slogan describes, they've been "selling fun since 1988!" Mason's Billiards offers every kind of game table you could imagine, from pool tables, to air hockey, ping pong, and so much more. In 2010, they purchased the Buckeye Wolverine Shop and transitioned their business into a one-stop-shop for all things billiards and sports.
Whimsy & Blue Boutique
Whimsy & Blue is an Elmore boutique that sells jewelry, decor, and high quality gifts. The owner is a former elementary school teacher with a passion for education and helping others. That’s why she’s a proud sponsor of the Miryante Orphanage in Uganda, Africa.
